Collaborative AI for Time-Critical High-Complexity Scenarios
What the project is about
CATCH investigates how artificial intelligence can better support people working in demanding and time-critical environments, such as emergency and crisis management.
Most AI systems behave the same way whether a person is calm, focused, or overwhelmed. CATCH develops adaptive AI that recognises changes in human attention, workload, and fatigue through everyday computer interactions, and adjusts its assistance in real time.

CATCH Project Start
Funded by the Research Council of Finland for four years. We are laying the foundations through three closely connected activities: understanding cognitive state through interaction, building an emergency operations simulation, and learning from emergency professionals.
